ABSIGLASS
Each brand hides specific solutions tailored to the expectations of different customer groups. Crystal's offer is characterized by a very wide range of door models, from cheap solutions to exclusive lines of aluminum and hybrid models. They are defined by high standards of thermal insulation and anti-burglary. All doors are subjected to strict laboratory tests in terms of quality, thermal insulation, sound insulation, resistance to very difficult and unfavorable weather conditions and in terms of burglary resistance.
How to change and improve technologies of the new generation of doors?
It is a continuous scientific and research process of searching for new solutions following the trend of time and the development of technology.
The Crystal company focuses on finding and using new technological solutions. We use the technology of the automotive industry, as well as the plastic materials used in Formula 1.
We are looking for the simplest solutions to reduce the weight and thickness of the door, and at the same time we want to maintain the more and more demanding parameters expected by the customer and minimize the impact of production on the environment. Polymers are widely used in technology and the production of everyday products. Are they often used in your projects?
The newest design is based on our proprietary formula called ABSIGLASS. In the near future, we want to base the entire door production on ABSIGLASS technology, which would become our distinguishing feature among manufacturers. As the only company, we have successfully mastered the production of doors based on a frame and plastic filling - steel doors with the elimination of wood and aluminum. We want to promote our product and encourage all customers to buy, at the same time we dream of becoming a precursor in this type of technology.
Where did the idea for the name ABSIGLASS come from?
It is a mix of our vision, design and material composition. The name directly indicates the materials we use. We are dealing here with ABS, which is a scratch-resistant material, characterized by high hardness and impact resistance. It is a material that is safe for humans, non-toxic and resistant to weather conditions. It has very good thermal insulation properties, and at the same time it does not deform itself when the temperature changes. It does not absorb moisture from the air. The second important component is glass fiber, which has a higher tensile strength than steel. This feature is the main reason for the use of a glass strand in the production of highly functional composites. As a mineral material, the glass strand is naturally non-flammable. Does not spread or sustain flame. Glass fiber is insensitive to changes in temperature and humidity, thanks to which it has a low linear expansion coefficient. This means that even during the greatest heat or frost, the door does not change shape, deform or break. Fiberglass does not corrode, deteriorate, mold or rot, and effectively resists the impact of living parts of the environment. It has low thermal conductivity. This feature is highly appreciated in the construction industry, where the use of glass strand composites allows for the elimination of thermal bridges, enabling significant heat savings. That is why the door is indestructible for many years, even when used all year round. Fiberglass is used more often than steel. High resistance properties, comparable or even better than steel, and lower weight make it easier to use objects made of glass fibers or with their use.
The selection of these materials and the unique combination allowed us to obtain a product with innovation on a global scale. It has features common to both materials. In our opinion, it is currently the best construction material for the production of external doors. It's only a matter of time before the entire industry will have to choose it. We want to brag about it and promote it, it is to be associated with the Splendoor brand.
Recycled components are a tribute to ecology and the environment.
All this fits beautifully with the standards of the European Union program, which is related to clean air, obtaining recyclable ecological products that reduce the consumption of renewable raw materials.
How to reduce the weight of the door? This is an extremely difficult task that few succeed.
It was a very long scientific and research process, during which we refined and searched for the main method that we implemented in production. Through trial and error, we came to the composition, design and assembly method that led to the creation of the prototypes. After testing, they obtained all the necessary certificates for sale, plus certificates related to strength and thermal transmittance.
In the final stage, the door turned out to be lighter, thinner and ultimately much warmer. Finally, our flagship PASSIVEDOOR ULTRA model with a permeability of UD 0.56 and a thickness of less than 67 mm was created. They were also the first door in Poland based on a plastic door frame with the RC2 anti-burglary class.
These parameters perfectly keep the architectural proportions and with the constant pursuit of the heat coefficient, they allow to avoid solutions which, in order to obtain lower Ud, go towards increasing door thickness and massiveness, to the detriment of the design and use by the customer.
